When Shampooing Gets to Be Unhealthy for Your Hair

A lot of people use shampoo. With all the shampoo products being sold - like those from P&G - you'd wonder which one is really for your hair. But usually, the labels that define a brand as either made for dry hair, oily hair, or dandruff is enough for you to make the right choice. The problem is when you use shampoo too much. It's a fact that shampoos have ingredients that clean hair, and that means they remove dirt much like soap do. But our hair actually has a coating that keeps it protected from damage. It is also where the dirt attaches to.

The longer you leave your hair unshampooed, the more dirt accumulates on this coating. Frequent shampooing actually prevents this coating from establishing itself in our hair and this makes hair brittle and unhealthy. If you're the type of person who likes to shampoo often, do use a very mild shampoo brand. and do heed the label. If it says "for oily hair" then don't use it if your hair is already greasy. If it says "for dry hair," then do use if if you have dry hair. But in both cases, shampoo sparingly and always dilute with water. Not only will it make your shampoo last, it will also make your hair last longer.

One shampoo that may be useful for regular use is the DailyKind Mild Shampoo. It cleans each strand of hair completely but without creating conditions for dryness that can damage your hair. It is able to do so because it has Ceregen from wheat, protein from quinoa, and seed oil from sunflowers. These work together to make your hair healthy, feel good, and strong without overdoing the cleansing.
